Emigration Canyon’s 2020 General Plan will be the first general plan for the Municipality since it incorporated as a Metro Township in 2017. The General Plan guides the future of planning and development in Emigration Canyon. Elements that focus on Land Use, Transportation, Economic Development, Environment, and Resilience and Infrastructure are included. The DRAFT Emigration Canyon General Plan was presented to the Emigration Canyon Metro Township Planning Commission on November 19, and a Public Hearing was also held to gather comments regarding the plan.
There are two upcoming meetings in December that will also consider the draft plan, as follows:
December 17, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. The Emigration Canyon Metro Township Planning Commission members will be voting whether or not to recommend the plan to the Metro Township Council for adoption.
December 17, 2020 – 7:00 p.m. The MSD Planning staff will update the board members about the general plan process and present the DRAFT General Plan to the board.
