Sandy Hills General Plan

The MSD is working with Sandy Hills Community Council and Salt Lake County on a general plan for the Sandy Hills Unincorporated Area. The planning process kicked-off in January 2021, and the Planning Commission public hearing was held on January 11th, 2023. In February, a second public hearing will be held at the Council level. The drafted General Plan includes land use, transportation, and resilience + infrastructure elements. The planning process included:

  • 5 workshops;
  • 4 online surveys;
  • 3 presentations to Sandy Hills Community Council;
  • 4 discussions with the Planning Commission or Council; and
  • 11 General Plan Steering Committee Meetings.
